Terms of Use
Last updated: 1 August 2026
Quick summary
MoV is a voice-first AI platform that helps you find real connections — romantic, friendship, or professional. You need to be 18+, give us accurate info, and be a decent human to other users. Our AI generates matches and compatibility scores, but they're not guarantees of anything — treat them as a starting point, not gospel. Full terms below; they're what actually govern your use of the app.
1. Agreeing to these terms
MoV (Moment of Vibe) (the "App") is built and run by Moment of Vibe Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "us", "MoV"). By using the App, you're agreeing to these Terms and our Privacy Policy https://momentofvibe.com/privacy-policy. Don't agree? Don't use the App.
2. Who can use MoV
You need to be 18 or older — no exceptions, and we may ask for proof. If we find an underage account, it gets suspended and its data deleted, no advance notice.
Beyond age, here's what we expect from you: one account per person — no sharing, selling, or running it for someone else; keep your login secure, and tell us fast at nikhil@momentofvibe.com if you think someone else has access; give us real, current information — we may verify your identity (documents or biometric) at signup or later, and can suspend accounts that fail verification; and you're responsible for everything that happens under your account.
3. What MoV actually is
MoV isn't a dating app in the traditional sense — it's a voice-first AI connection platform covering three modes: Romantic, Friendship, and Professional Vibe. Our AI layers (VIE, CPM, CSA) analyze how you talk, what you value, and what you're looking for, then surface people worth meeting.
A few things worth being upfront about: matches are algorithmic, based on what you tell us and how you show up in voice conversations — they're not a promise of chemistry, friendship, or career fit; we don't guarantee any number of matches or successful connections; AI outputs (compatibility scores, suggestions, generated conversation) can be wrong, incomplete, or occasionally weird — don't treat them as psychological, medical, or legal advice; and like any AI system, ours can reflect biases baked into training data or model design. We work to minimize that, but can't promise it's eliminated.
4. Onboarding: what we ask, and why
Getting matched well means building a real profile, which happens through a voice-first onboarding conversation with MoV's AI. This can take a while — that's intentional.
We'll ask for (required): your name, age/DOB, gender, and a verification selfie.
We'll ask for (needed to actually match you): voice responses throughout onboarding, your connection intent (Romantic / Friendship / Professional Vibe), approximate location, your interests and values, and career/education background. Depending on intent, we'll also ask Romantic-specific questions (relationship type, age-range preference, relevant history) or Professional Vibe details (LinkedIn, optional).
Optional: photos, social links, anything extra you want to add.
You don't have to fill in every optional field, but skipping mandatory ones limits what MoV can do for you — once your profile crosses roughly 80 - 90% complete, our AI can start generating matches; thinner profiles get thinner results.
One important caveat: the profile our AI builds from your answers is our best algorithmic read of you, not a certified psychological assessment. We try to make it accurate, but we don't guarantee it, and we're not liable for decisions you or anyone else makes based on it. You're the one responsible for making sure what you tell us is true — fake info is a Terms violation and can get your account pulled.
Voice recordings themselves are processed into transcripts and then handled per our retention rules in the Privacy Policy — we don't hang onto raw audio longer than we need to.
5. The AI behind MoV
To generate matches and run conversations, MoV sends data to a small set of external AI providers: LiveKit carries your voice audio in real time; OpenAI's Whisper turns that audio into text; Anthropic's Claude does the actual matching and conversation intelligence, working from your transcripts and profile — not your name, phone number, or raw contact details; and ElevenLabs generates the voice you hear back from MoV's AI.
Every one of these providers is contractually barred from using your data to train their own public models, and required to protect it at least as well as we do. Details live in the Privacy Policy.
6. Consent & your rights (DPDP Act, 2023)
By finishing onboarding and creating an account, you're giving free, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent — as required under India's DPDP Act, 2023 — to: us collecting, storing, and processing your personal data as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy; your text transcripts and preference data being processed by our designated AI providers to generate compatibility assessments; and us using de-identified, aggregated data for research, analytics, and improving MoV.
In return, the DPDP Act gives you real rights over that data. You can: see it — get a summary of the personal data we hold on you; fix it — correct or update anything inaccurate or incomplete; delete it — request erasure of your personal data (Section 12 covers how); complain about it — raise a grievance through Section 14, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if we don't resolve it; and hand it off — nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you pass away or become incapacitated.
If you sign up through a third-party login (like Google), we also pick up whatever personal data that account shares with us — name and email, typically — subject to that platform's own terms.
Pulling your consent works the same way as deleting your account (Section 12): once it's withdrawn, you lose access to the AI-powered parts of MoV, and any pending processing tied to that consent stops.
7. Pricing
MoV currently runs on a freemium model — core features are free to use, and we don't charge a subscription fee today. If we introduce paid tiers or additional charges in the future, we'll notify every user by email before those changes take effect, so you can review them before they apply. Payments, if and when introduced, will be processed through a third-party payment app — we don't store your card details ourselves. Any refund policy will be communicated to you before you pay, and will follow the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and RBI guidelines.
8. Being a decent user
Don't: fake a profile or pretend to be someone else; upload photos that aren't genuinely you; harass, threaten, or stalk anyone on or off the app; post anything unlawful, obscene, defamatory, or discriminatory; use MoV to spam, advertise, or solicit business; go around the app to contact someone who hasn't consented to that; scrape, reverse-engineer, or bot your way through the app; or dodge our verification or security measures.
Break these and we may suspend or kill your account without warning — this isn't a three-strikes system for the serious stuff. We also reserve the right to review and remove content, and to act on reports at nikhil@momentofvibe.com.
9. Safety — read this part
We verify identity only through onboarding's selfie step; we don't run criminal background checks, and we can't vouch for who anyone really is once you're talking to them. Some profile info becomes visible to a match once you engage — see the Privacy Policy for specifics.
Use real judgment, especially meeting someone in person for the first time. Anything that happens between users, on or off the app, is between you — MoV isn't liable for it. If something feels unsafe in the moment, call local law enforcement first, then let us know at nikhil@momentofvibe.com if you want it on our radar too.
10. Ownership and your content
Everything about the App itself — code, design, branding, content — belongs to MoV and is protected under Indian copyright and trademark law. Using the app gets you a personal, non-commercial license to use it on your own device — not a license to copy it, reverse-engineer it, or repurpose our IP commercially.
Anything you upload (photos, voice, text) stays yours, but you're giving us a license to use, store, and display it as needed to run and improve MoV. You're vouching that it's actually yours to give.
11. Third parties, app stores, and the usual disclaimers
MoV plugs into third-party services (AI providers, analytics, payments, login providers) — your use of those is on their terms, not ours, and their presence in the app isn't an endorsement. If you downloaded MoV via the App Store or Play Store, their terms apply too, and Apple/Google aren't responsible for MoV or obligated to support it — that's on us.
12. Ending things
You can delete your account any time (see the Privacy Policy for how). We can suspend or terminate yours if you break these Terms, put other users or the platform at risk, or if we're legally required to. Either way, access ends immediately, and data handling follows our deletion process. Sections that should logically outlive termination (IP, liability, dispute resolution, etc.) still apply after your account's gone.
13. The legal boilerplate that actually matters
MoV is provided "as is" — we don't promise it'll be uninterrupted, bug-free, or perfectly secure, and to the extent Indian law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for purpose, and accuracy of AI outputs.
We're not liable for harm arising from user-to-user interactions, inaccuracies in AI-generated matches or scores, your reliance on app outputs, or indirect/consequential damages generally. None of this overrides rights you can't legally waive under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
14. If something goes wrong
Grievance Officer — Nikhil Raj Singh
Email: nikhil@momentofvibe.com
We'll acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve within 30 days. IP takedown requests go to the same address, with details of the alleged infringement.
These Terms are governed by Indian law, and courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes. Try our Grievance Officer first — if that doesn't resolve things in 30 days, other legal remedies (including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act) remain open.
15. Other things worth knowing
We may update these Terms as our product or the law changes — you'll get at least 7 days' notice via email/in-app before changes take effect, and continuing to use MoV after that means you accept them. These Terms plus the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us; if one clause turns out unenforceable, the rest still stands; not enforcing something once doesn't waive our right to later; English governs over any translation; and we're not on the hook for delays caused by things genuinely outside our control (natural disasters, government action, infrastructure failures, that sort of thing).
